This is a great opportunity to learn more about the birds that call Vermont home and those that pass through on their migrations. Go the whole route around the marsh or halfway.

Our Community work day this year is Saturday, May 3rd-9am-noon.
We have several projects to work on. Helping Master Gardeners in the front entrance, improving trail tread on Overlook to improve drainage. Please come join us for a couple of hours. We will supply the tools and work gloves. Please remember to bring water and sun screen.
Come join us on any of these days even if it is for a short period of time—every bit helps.

We sometimes receive requests from individuals who want to do trail work on their own, and while we are always happy to encourage anyone to work on our trails, we do have a set of rules regarding how it needs to done. If you have a project in mind, please see our Trail Building Policy page for more information.

The Rutland Young Professionals (RYP) and Shires Young Professionals (SYP) are joining forces for an exclusive rock climbing event at Green Mountain Rock Climbing in Rutland, VT!
We'll have the entire gym to ourselves; this is your chance to climb without the crowds! It's also a chance to meet folks from neighboring young professional groups! This event is for beginners, experienced climbers, and everyone in between. It's also family-friendly. Belay lessons and equipment are included, but if you have your own gear, feel free to bring it.
Schedule:
Carpool from Bennington-area to Rutland: 9:00-10:15am (or drive on your own)
Climbing: 10:30am - 12:30pm
Lunch: 1:00-2:00pm
Carpool to Bennington: 2:15-3:30pm

There is a flat fee for the private session, so the more people that come, the better a deal it is for everyone. We expect it to be a max of $30/person with everything included (whether or not you have your own gear), and it'll go down from there.

The evening will kick off with a 15-minute mobility class that blends dynamic movements and static stretching to improve range of motion, and relieve tension. Mats will be provided. Every year, we dedicate our December mix to help raise funds for a local non-profit. This year, we are pleased to be hosting our Giveback mixer to raise funds for the Rutland County Humane Society
The mix will be held December 18th at the Hub Streetside Conference Center in Downtown Rutland. Join us from 6-8pm for a fun evening of networking! $5+ suggested donations and/or bring an item to donate from the list of needed supplies.
